Members northernranger Posted August 7, 2012 Author Members Posted August 7, 2012 Is there much water available for wading on Taney? And is there a large crowd? Also how about Norfork Tailwater, I understand that you have to plan around water levels correct?
ColdWaterFshr Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 ah heck son, I try to give you good sound advice on a higher much more sophisticated and organic plane and you go and flip channels to watch SpongeBob on me. Taney -- will there be crowds?? Uh, yeah. Branson. Don't get me wrong, its a great place to fish. Bring your 20 ft Ranger and 250 HP merc. On foot, be prepared to crowd around an outlet at the hatchery. Norfork - half of Memphis is usually there and yes, like Taney you are at the mercy of planned or unplanned generation.
Members northernranger Posted August 7, 2012 Author Members Posted August 7, 2012 First off thanks for the info. Second nobody is flipping the channel on you and if I did it wouldn't be to watch spongebob. Having as much info as I can before I decide to commit to drive 4+ hours for a two day trip sounds like a safe bet. So in the next few hours or days I might have more questions regarding other waters. Maybe ill go to eleven point maybe I won't. Thanks again for the info! Anyone else have any suggestions?
Wayne SW/MO Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 You could Kayak Taney. It would depend on the flow as far as effort goes. If it were me I would rent a canoe or kayak and do the NFOW or the 11Point. You could do the NFOW and just float back to Sunburst or ROLF. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
