Members cfox Posted September 2, 2012 Members Posted September 2, 2012 It was crazy today at the new Cabelas in Rogers but they had enough store personel on hand to handle the crowd. I was impressed with thier selection of flyting stuff. I was also surprised to see an old aquaintance working in the Flyfishing department; former Rogers mayor John Sampier. I bought a new flyrod, reel and flyline and can't wait to check out the rest of the store when the crowd thins out in a few weeks. Anybody else want to chime in on thier visit to the new Cabelas?
Dutch Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 I'm planning my first trip that way on Monday.

hoglaw Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 I went the Tuesday before the store opened for "contractor's night" with a buddy who is a city attorney. I was still on crutches so I didn't get to look around as much as I would have liked to, but they appear to have plenty of selection in the fishing department. I went ahead and got a cabela's credit card while I was there so I looked through the hunting clothes since they were all discounted that evening plus I had $25 in points to spend. I didn't find a pair of pants for less than about $180, so I decided to wait for another day. I can't wait to take another walk through the place once I have both legs back.
Feathers and Fins Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Hog if your looking for hunting clothes, I highly suggest http://www.stormkloth2.com/contactamy.html best I have ever use and a local company. I wear mine early season to late season and the stuff works as advertised. You wont be unhappy. What i really was suprised by is even as light as it is in 17degrees with a 20mph wind all i had to wear was a good pair of thermals jeans and long sleeve shirt and the stormkloth pants and jacket and i was toasty. Never had such light gear work so nice in weather like that before. I know i sound like a commercial but when i find something that works im going to pass it on https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
hoglaw Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Thanks FF, never heard of stormkloth. Is that a retail space in Bentonville or just an office?
Feathers and Fins Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Never been to the Bentonville Location, I buy it at Southtown or BPS. You wont be unhappy with it. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
