Brian K. Shaffer Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 You can use Shoo Goo... or Shoe Goo II ... but please do it all on the inside. Buy it at Wal-mart. And TFO is great. I met the owner in Arkansas at the Sowbug one year and he is one cool cat. Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.
Chief Grey Bear Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 if you got to budget in $25 then you need to re-think things. Common sense. Not sure Jack is the one that needs to be re-thinking things. I'm with Brian on the Shoo Goo. I have even used stick on bicycle patches on the inside with success on pin holes. Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted September 4, 2012 Root Admin Posted September 4, 2012 Shoo Goo is a little thick for me... but that's me. Buy Aquaseal at BackCountry on Campbell in Springfield or a Bass Pro.
Jason R. Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Hey man, I straight lost my TFO so you are doing a lot better than me- I'd love to have just broken it. I had a day once where I broke both of the fly rods I brought in my jeep door before I ever got in the boat... that was the worst. http://flyinthesouth.com/
ollie Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Second the aquaseal, great product and really not that expensive for the tube you get. If you were close by I would just let you borrow what I have left. Members mattie Posted September 5, 2012 Members Posted September 5, 2012 I agree at the dam it was hot and slow, between the wife and i we managed 1 fish in 4 hrs, and i got a hole in the waders too, luckly for me the waranty is still open on mine so those suckers are going back saturday. Im thinking the over weight hairy guy was part of the reason i couldnt catch anything, he was half way into the lake with only a pair of shorts on (i think he was takeing a bath) splashing around, said he was going to go for a swim but the water was to shallow, and im going to leave it at that.

Jack Jones Posted September 5, 2012 Author Posted September 5, 2012 Yeah, I saw the aquaseal at Bass Pro tonight. Shoe Goo is cheaper. If it all does the same thing, I'll probably start with Shoe Goo since I have half a tube at home. I'll just pick up a small brush to help putting it around the seams. I figure I'll start with the seam near the boot (which I've thought leaked before) and then the area near the inseam where it looks like the seam is a little split. If those fail, then I'll try doing the whole leg seam. "Thanks to Mother Mercy, Thanks to Brother Wine, Another night is over and we're walking down the line" - David Mallett
