John Andrews Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Hello folks! I am a 50 year old Kayak rookie here in Springfield. I am out 2-3 times a week and the bass fishing from these little boats is AWESOME. I must admit I get a giggle out of landing fish in the areas that were long before off limits. Hope you are all having a great season, and hope to see ya out on the water. John
John Andrews Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 Had my best outting yet hooked 11 bass landed 7 from 12-16 inch range. No worries I catch and release in hope of meeting them again someday

Jeff Olson Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Hi John, the wife and I are also 50 yr old rookie kayakers also. were from WI. and now live in hollister.(since this spring). I have not fished out of mine yet but am going to and think it should be alot of fun like you say.we live by the tablerock dam,so I think the taneycomo will be a nice float, and be able to catch some trout! I have not really searched the area for float trip spots yet,but please feel free to message me if you know of some nice float trips! and I will do the same if you are interested. good luck fishing!
John Andrews Posted October 4, 2012 Author Posted October 4, 2012 I trout fish not far from you and have done well there. As far as float trips, I dont know of any but sure want to go on a few. I been Bass fishing at my little "spot" at Springfield lake. going again tomorrow after work.
John Andrews Posted May 28, 2013 Author Posted May 28, 2013 Well I went out today 5-28-13 and the bass were on FIRE If you're out on Springfield lake and see the kayak with the p-40 warhawk "shark teeth" on the front paddle over and say howdy.
