DaddyO Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Last night, I was tying up a few Trico Spinners #16 my carpet is the same color as the snowshoe wing on the trico. I pulled the fly out of the vise and was holding it up to inspect it and I dropped it. It hit my chair, between my legs, and fell to the floor. I searched for about 30 minutes for that fly. I never found it. I found lots of beads and other things, but never found the fly. At one point, I thought, hmmm, maybe I'm not seeing it from the right perspective. So, I picked up one of the other flies and purposely dropped it to see how it would land and what it looked like on the floor........ It immediately blended in with the carpet and I almost couldn't find it. No, my carpet isn't shag, either. OK, it is my "Man Cave" and it could be cleaner, but, really, it isn't that dirty. Oh, well...... Heading to Taney on Thursday. Life is Good. DaddyO We all make decisions; but, in the end, our decisions make us.
Nick Williams Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Haha classic. I have one of those things that goes under your chair at a desk, I forget what they're called. But it makes it really easy to find stuff! Except beads tend to bounce and I lose them quite frequently. - Nick
Jason R. Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 I use a cow magnet sometimes to find all the hooks I drop into the carpet- works pretty well. I just don't want to step on them later. http://flyinthesouth.com/
DaddyO Posted September 19, 2012 Author Posted September 19, 2012 Stroll around in bare feet? Nope. Not gonna, either. DaddyO We all make decisions; but, in the end, our decisions make us.
