Feathers and Fins
So were out doing the dirty to the teal this morning when I see a group of geese flying out of Avoca arm, Figured Honkers and lets get a few, I start calling and they responded perfectly on a string comming in. Just as we raise up on them everyone yelled DONT SHOOT SPECKS.... All we could say is WTH are they doing here this early in the year... Bodes well for a great season but makes me wonder how bad winter will be or is the north so dry and crops so far gone they are moving on through. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
moodyfour
A little scary... Saw two or three flights of big ducks this morning going south... Seems early even for that. Teal shoot was good again this morning. Could be a record year for us on early teal... Love beautiful mornings in the Ozarks!
mhowerton
That is a little early. Had some luck on Norfork this morning. I forgot that Goose opened back up today for NW Arkansas. We had a pair in the decoys, but didn't shoot. Also had a flock of 40 pelicans land just outside the decoys 30 minutes before sunrise. The great Migration has begun. Early migration. even saw our first coots this morning. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
