Justin Spencer Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Fished around Sunburst Landing yesterday and today and picked up several bows (one 15") and browns yesterday and a bunch of browns today (mostly last years stockers with a couple better fish) in addition to a Spot, LMB, Bluegill and a couple Green sunfish. Today rubberlegs were the ticket, yesterday with the sun it seemed to be Brandon's Turkey Tail nymph. Greasy B Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Nice fish. Looks like the river is getting the rise you were asking for. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
Justin Spencer Posted September 27, 2012 Author Posted September 27, 2012 Just walked down to collect some eggs from the barn and the river is higher than I have seen it since spring, hope it stays for a while! Members diamondback#5 Posted October 15, 2012 Members Posted October 15, 2012 fished the northfork this past fri. after the rain finally stopped around 4:00, saw some fish sipping emergers above patrick bridge so I tied on a #16 partridge and orange soft hackle and walked up the path through the woods untill I found a good place to walk in, started to drift the soft hackle and before long had on a heathy 8in. rainbow, fished about 2 hours and caught 7 more fish, all very skinny browns the biggest was propably 9in. I was really surprised at how skinny the browns were, the water level looked pretty good though and as an after thought I probably should have fished below the bridge where it looked like the water was deeper and might have held some larger fish, I had a good time though, after sitting in the hotel room all day watching it rain.
