Quillback Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 I'm thinking of making an Ocotober trip to Bull. Looking for info on a place to stay near or on the lake. I would be bringing my boat, so a place that has a dock (with electricity ot re-charge batteries) or if no dock, relatively close to a public ramp (with launching dock). Also needs to be pet-friendly as I'll be bringing my dog.
rps Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Nancy and I always stay at Gaston's and set up a slip rental at Bull Shoals Dock by the dam. While their advertising - "It costs no more to go first class." - may not be true, we have always enjoyed the stay.
Quillback Posted September 29, 2012 Author Posted September 29, 2012 Thanks RPS, I have stayed at Gaston's before on a trout fishing trip, nice place, but I'm hoping to get something more mid-lake. Found some places using Google, but it's always good to get some recommendations.
Diamond City Fisher Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Here is a link to the mid lake Sugarloaf area of the lake. Diamond City, AR has several great places to stay...some with over night boat slips available. There is great launching also. Check us out....you will like fishing out of Diamond City. http://thelakeshoredistricts.com/
moguy1973 Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 We decided on Oakland Marina/resort, they have slips for rent...Our other choice was Tall Timbers. Tall Timbers has a free slip if you stay with them. If you want more mid lake there really isn't much although in Diamond City there is a place called Brass Bell Cottages which has a few slips for rent and they are within walking distance of Sugarloaf Marina. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Diamond City Fisher Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 There really is a lot at Mid Lake....About 10 places in Diamond City...Several places in Peel and There's Tucker Hollow....here's is link to Brass Bell...http://brassbellcottages.com/fish.html
