Fished Suicide on Sunday afternoon. The river level is up, and looking really nice. My first few experiences with this area were earlier this summer, June and July. The water was alot lower at that time, so it was easier to work up stream, and cross at will. On Sunday, I did not have alot of trouble crossing just down stream of the trail, but it looked pretty deep headed up stream. Is there a way to immedietly head right at the bottom of the hill? This would take you around the large pool to the up stream(north?) side.

As far as the fishing goes, I have never had any luck there, but it was also 2pm.

You can try to skirt the bluff face..then walk through the bog if you want to go right. Its usually easier to cross at the bottom of the trail. Havent been down there in awhile...bet most of the fish ran to the spring pool in the heat & stayed there.

Have always had better luck at cardiac hill and upstream. But neither location compares to any trout park. Suicide pool seems to be too warm for trout and too muddy from other species mucking the place up.

I've caught big trout all the way down past Scott's Ford which is well past suicide, they may be fewer and farther between though...but they seem average a little bigger
