Surely someone is getting to do some hunting....... turkey, deer, squirrels....... something?

I'm about to get serious about sitting in some trees myself here the next few weeks.

I have gotten out after the squirrels once and had a pretty good hunt. Having a hard time getting fired up about the turkey and deer. Prepping duck boat today for the season opener next weekend.

First 2 days on a private lake unless I get a quick draw by accident. Then off to Schell Osage for first of 3 reservations there Mon and Tues. Back to Duck Creek on Thurs and Fri. Then it will be time to lay up at the farm and look at the deer.

_{Ive been pretty successful with several does, just waiting for the rut to get fired up. Taking a week of vacation overlaping the rifle season and hoping to connect on something decent. Bucks were moving pretty hard last night on the way back from the lake. Hopefully this front gets them moving good.}

Killed a 6 point this morning. Saw 7 deer in all.

I've shot a few does and a couple turkeys. Missed a decent 8 a couple weekends ago. I'll be out every weekend till thanksgiving.

Well my bowhunting hasn't panned out too well for me pre-gun season. Only deer I've had a shot at is a very small spike. Pass. Waiting for a good buck or doe for my freezer. Had a good looking buck get behind me yesterday and catch my wind. Looked like 135-inch-class 8-point. They are definitely chasing right now, so watch for them when driving.
