Justin Spencer Posted November 10, 2012 Author Posted November 10, 2012 If you dont want to trade for a spotted owl, Ive got an even better deal. How about my Pileated woodpecker. I put some white paint on him. He looks just like an Ivory billed woodpecker. Every couple of years I take him down to arkansas and let him fly around. It really stirs them up down there! they are easy to fool down there,it sure boosts tourism "The problem with a politician’s quote on Facebook is you don’t know whether or not they really said it." –Abraham Lincoln Tales of an Ozark Campground Proprietor Dead Drift Fly Shop

lee G. Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 I had a recorded call of my own? All kidding aside, the call of the Ivory Bill sounds like a cross between the call of the Passenger Pigeon and the Carolina Parakeet, I mixed those two and played them, that also accounts for the reports of ZZ Top music coming out of the deep swamps at nite down there. I didnt get the whole CD erased when I re-recorded over it.

I always thought pecker woods were the natural habitat for ZZ Top so that all makes perfect sense to me.
Tim Smith Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 I guess that,s a no vote for ZZ Top? Not at all. ZZ Top is a great band. But they didn't get those beards in Los Angeles.
LarrySTL Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Here's another Yes vote for ZZ Top ! http://intervenehere.com
Seth Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 We see a lot of those on the Gasconade here around home while gigging in the winter. Last year there was a mud flat near Vienna, MO that was loaded with them! I've seen them a few times in the past but never like that. It was pretty cool!
LittleRedFisherman Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 AGFC studies the Hellbender pretty intestively in the Eleven Point, here's a link to a show they did showing a little of what they do..This video has some fishing footage in it to, but the hellbender portion is on the back half. http://vimeo.com/30318567 There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
