Amery Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 It's a type of pheasant tail. Tail, body, thorax of orange or pink dubbing, rib, beadhead. That's how I tie mine.
Buzz Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 What Amery said. I like to tie in a red hot spot right behind the bead. It may just be me, but it seems to be the most productive for me. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
ruthead Posted December 2, 2014 Author Posted December 2, 2014 Was there Friday, Sat, and Sun, and fishin was pretty good. Friday was really good Saturday was so-so and Sunday was really good. We both had a couple of fish around 2lb fish but nothing really big. I turned a couple big fish but thats it. lots of 10-12 inchers. Wife caught most of hers with a white thread jig or bedspread. Most of mine came on sofrt hackles and griffiths gnat. Got into some larger fish in the falls. Also some stripping c-backs. Lots a leaves and wind but still better than working and definitely better than black firday shopping! We pulled out of the park at 1:10 on Sun. and it was 73 degrees and drove home to 29 degree weather. Hated to leave. laker67 Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Sounds like a good time. The weather was great. RR fished good all summer and appears to continue so this winter. Thanks for the report.
