Quillback Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I don't think I spelled his name correctly Seems his MO in Badgerland was to run the ball behind monster linemen. Don't know much else about him. If there's any Badger followers on here maybe you can add your opinion. My snap judgement is that he's a good hire, but not a great hire. I hope he proves me wrong.
Feathers and Fins Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Can he recruit will be the big question. IF he can bring in the Big Monsters from the North and the Speed rushers of the South on both sides of the ball and IF he can get a good QB and a Couple WR's then I think his style offense will be good, It will all be on who can he recruit. Maybe a good hire but if he is another NUTTJOB then I think JL might have his head stuck way out on a chopping block. Rumor of his contract 6 years 3m and change could mean he wants the rest of the money he possibly could have gained to hire good assistants to help in the recruiting and building a stable leadership and that could spell wins. More i hear the more i see potential but the big question still looms and that is recruitment. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
rps Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Wisconsin has the same challenges as Arkansas. They are not one of the top four in a quality conference. Despite this he has had them ranked and in good bowls. If he can recreate that scenario at Arkansas, he is better than a good hire. In addition, he is a defense first type guy, a must in the SEC.
Wayne SW/MO Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 He was 68 and 24 at Wisconsin in a quality conference. He could be a good one now that he's next door to Texas, the supermarket of football recruits. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
