Walcrabass Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 To the Crappie Guys, My son is wanting me to take him Crappie fishing tomorrow at Stockton. I hardly ever Crappie fish in the Winter. Can anyone give me some advice? Probably be around the Ruark Bluff Area. Thanks, Walcrabass
Dkman Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 I am heading up there as well to try my luck on some cold weather crappie. Anyone know if the ramps are froze tight?
minnowhooker Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 I went today at Cedar Ridge caught 4 keeper crappie and a bunch of shorts.....10 whites.....an 1 eye at around 23 deep. Check out the big coves for shad schools in the Big Sac arm and fish under them, I heard that from Bob's Stockton report this morning. Dkman.....Cedar Ridge was fine didn't see any ice
straw hat Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 The launches are open as of Wed. I would suggest around 40' deep in 50 ' of water. Just coast around over the old channel and you should mark them below the shad. Good Luck!!!
Dkman Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Thanks for the info guys. I am heading up to the CC area to try some crappie.
