J-Doc Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Ive been working on this map its not even finished but hope it will save a few people The area I noticed at the mouth of Coppermine is even more stubstantial than what you have shown. I was surprised. I never realized that big point was there (never fished there before I guess). There is also a sharp ledge just NE of the part that is currently out of the water. My graph when from 20-30ft to 4ft at idle in a hurry! Just FYI guys. Thanks F&F for putting this image together. This is helpfull. I need to take a really close look at my map before I venture out again. Stuff I've never been concerned with before is not a concern! Need marine repair? Members wormer Posted January 28, 2013 Members Posted January 28, 2013 I took a couple of shots at Hickory Creek today. After all the high water we had for a couple years it is really strange to see the water down so low. Ramp Ramp marina

Guest Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 F&F, google earth has a little slider bar that toggles back to 1994. set that timeline for 2006 and you can view the low water lake level.

Stump bumper Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Just a quick warning for those that have never seen the water down that low don't drive on the old lake bed, below high water line. I drove over to the island across from RT 12 Bridge back in 2003 0r 2004 can't remember but had 4 different law enforcement agencies fighting over who was going to write me a ticket. If you launch from shore be sure to pull back out past high water line to park, you may get away with it for a while but when you get caught it is not cheap. Also don't remove anything from the shore line like arrow heads, the Corps considers that stealing.
Quillback Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Those arrowhead laws are kind of ridiculous IMO. It will be interesting to see what the FLW guys do if the lake is still down in April when the FLW comes to Beaver. If they think there's bass in the uplake river channels those guys will blast up there.
