There is one armed officer at my wifes school. There are 14 points of door entry and another 30 windows that can be broken and walked through. You cant stop someone hellbent on doing harm. An officer is a deterant and might save lives but multiple armed attackers will do damage. Armed teachers might help as well or give an attacker an additional weapon. Im for the officer on campus but not blind to the fact of what a dedicated attacker can do.

Here is a times link to the Mass Killings in our country back aways. http://timelines.latimes.com/deadliest-shooting-rampages/ How many dog related deaths in the same time or car deaths I can go on and on but I think people will get the point. But I know the High Score aint been beat and all the hype these shootings get feeds these monsters.

Bottom line really though, I think we have waited to long to do anything. If there is anything we could do. I can see the need for something to be done, but we have zealots on both sides that will kick, scream, and cry all the way. I just don't see us ever coming together on this issue.

I wish we could ban all bead head flys as they are too effective. No split shot either (the Canada way) .... Life would go on but no change would made...I could do without hard alcohol but some people like it. Each to thier own concerning constitutional rights.

Put restrictions on certain firearms is not infringing on anyone's right to bear arms, I bet many of you thought when lead was banned in waterfowling it was a crock of bull, now you have grown accustomed to it life goes on (yes F&F that was for you) :)

Sure it is, the government is limiting my selection of currently available guns that are out on the marketplace. The first time around, the Benelli Shotgun you purchased recently was demonized. It was a dreaded semi-auto that went bang with every trigger pull. It has a synthetic stock like the AR. And it was capable of holding more than the allowed number of sporting rounds used in hunting birds during the season, which back then was 3. Conservation order for the snow geese was the first to allow more than 3 for hunting since the market hunter days.

And as far as steel goes, we have not grown accustomed, we have learned to deal with the cripples or buy better alternatives to steel shot.

Hunting is NOT the point of the second amendment. If it was it would say the right to hunt shall not be infringed. Ars can be used to hunt but that's not the point.

I contribute, its just not what you want to hear. When was the last time you started a thread, posted a report, or contributed anything positive?

So you want armed guards at all schools? Are you just going to have one per building or one at every door? That would be case by case.

Metal detectors? How do they stop someone that just busts right in? Criminals actually think twice about stuff like that, and it alerts others. How did he walk into a school with a rifle unnoticed anyway?

You want unions to pay for it? Why should they? What do they do with the dues they collect from the teachers anyway?

Felons are not supposed to have guns either. How are you going to stop mental cases from getting them? Flag them in the background database like they do felons.

But it is ok to limiting freedoms of everybody else as long as you have no restrictions to purchase a grenade launcher?

And as far as steel goes, we have not grown accustomed, we have learned to deal with the cripples or buy better alternatives to steel shot.

I don't have any trouble with steel. Niether does CD. Only reason to have a cripple is bad aim. Or you get to excited and shoot out of range.

AR's have a purpose. They are a firearm protected by the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.

The original militia possessed the same firearms as the military. The colonists did too. What is different today? Why can't citizens carry the same firearms as the military? AR's and Beretta M9's.

Again, which one of these shooting would this law have stopped? I have asked you this question numerous times and like Wayne Pierre, you avoid.
