podum Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 wondering what shape it's in. . . or will be on Saturday . . . I wish I had more time more than I wish I had more money.
Greasy B Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 From the USGS gages its just now cresting. Looks like it came up about 7'. Probibly bank full and muddy. Maybe someone local can put an eye on it. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. podum Posted January 30, 2013 Author Posted January 30, 2013 That's what I saw on the USGS site Greasy. Hoping for and "eyes on". It was so low before the rain that Im hoping for a quick fall and clear. I wish I had more time more than I wish I had more money.
Wayne SW/MO Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I wouldn't cancel a Saturday trip. Windyville and BS are both dropping. Bennett doesn't have that big of a drainage area and when it starts to drop quick it won't stop if there isn't anymore rain. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
podum Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 Thanks Wayne. Im more interested in the river from 64 to Barclay than the spring. Do you think it will wade/fish ok? I wish I had more time more than I wish I had more money.
Wayne SW/MO Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Thanks Wayne. Im more interested in the river from 64 to Barclay than the spring. Do you think it will wade/fish ok? I understood that and I referenced Bennett because it adds a lot of water to the river. Obviously it's a guess, but I would say yes because the river won't be that far from normal for this time of the year. It rose a lot, but it started from a low point. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
podum Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 I was hoping so Wayne. Thanks for the info. I wish I had more time more than I wish I had more money.
Greasy B Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Thanks Wayne. Im more interested in the river from 64 to Barclay than the spring. Do you think it will wade/fish ok? have you seen how steep the height slope is on the graph today? Niangua did not get the rise a couple of weeks ago the the basins to the south east got. podum Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 It went up like it does in the springtime when the ground is saturated. Falling fast though. I think Windyville will be below 400 by saturday - which means the lower river should be ok with regard to clarity and ability to walk around. The river needed the flush. I wish I had more time more than I wish I had more money.
oneshot Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 I just went across the Bridge and it was bank full not over the island I think I seen couple guys down by the ramp fishing but not sure. oneshot
