Circle Hooks For Crappie?

Anyone tried small circle hooks for minnows and crappie??? Thinking of doing some drifting for crappie and using one rod in a holder. My thought is that if I used circle hooks they would not swallow the hook and shorts could be released unharmed. Anyone have any experience with this?

Jason- I use them for walleye fishing and have caught several incidental crappie on them. They work fine.

I couldn't tell ya i never use live bait but i saw people doing it today and i had my limit in 45 min and wasnt useing live bait

Circles look weird, but really work. Even make a nice wacky rig hook for Senkos and such in the right sizes.
