rps Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 The walleye have not yet moved up river. Look to staging areas directly above HI and Beaver town.
chris3179 Posted February 13, 2013 Author Posted February 13, 2013 Thanks for the info. I guess I'm going to have to head up there. What is a " staging area".
chris3179 Posted February 13, 2013 Author Posted February 13, 2013 On a side note. Does anyone have that lowrance 7 hdi? I'm intrigued.
rps Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Look for the deep holes below shallow spots. As an example, the deep hole directly below where Butler Creek flows into the White just above Beaver town. My sources say the fish are not yet up on the shoals above Beaver town, but are holding in holes down stream. The area just outside of Holiday Island's entrance of Leatherwood Creek has also been giving up fish. I will not draw maps, but what I state is where the recent fish have been caught.
chris3179 Posted February 14, 2013 Author Posted February 14, 2013 Thanks for clarifying that. Learn something new everyday on here.
Members Flyfsh Posted February 15, 2013 Members Posted February 15, 2013 I have been kayak fishing the HI and Beaver town area quite a bit. I am catching several bass but no walleye yet. I saw a couple guys last week caught a couple small in the timber. Jim
