duckydoty Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Worked over on Indian Point today and after work, since I was close, I decided to see what was happening down at Taney. Parking lot was pretty full. 3 guys were fishing the outlet, and the rebar hole was shoulder to shoulder. No one was fishing the flats above outlet so that was where I headed. Wind was blowing directly up stream with some good chop on the water. I tied on an olive pine squirrel sculpin and started stripping. I think it took all of 2 casts to catch my first fish. Short fast strips through the chop worked best. Ended up fishing about an hour and probably caught 15 fish never changing flies or location. Three of the fish I caught were squirting eggs and most of them were in the 14 to 15 inch range. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners

Buzz Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Nice way to end the day. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
Members Jigm8ker Posted February 8, 2013 Members Posted February 8, 2013 D I was fishing right below you last night when the other fishermen had left. After drifting scuds for while I switched to stripping an olive leech to finish out the day. Was a good day to fish. Next time I catch you on the water I'll say hey.
