polock Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 hey guys, so i have floated alley to 2 rivers uncountable times since my wife is from eminence, but I want to knock the entire river out. What is the upper most point of access a guy can float in a fishing kayak after a decent rain?
Gavin Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Prongs is it...31 miles from there to Alley..There is a canoe rental at Alley that could take care of your vehicle.
cwc87 Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Anyone been upstream of the prongs? Like if there was a big rain? Is the north prong bigger than the south ?
Greasy B Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Louis White writes of fishing the prongs in his book Ozark Hideaways. I would guess it would take some bush whacking and ducking barbed wire and a person might have a bead drawn on them along the way. Stillhouse road crosses the south prong about 6 or 7 miles up from the junction, it would be a cool adventure. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
