Josh Holt Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 I just want to let everybody know if your going up the flatt creek arm follow the channel stay off the left side because I have seen three boats now hit this under water point that is 1 to 2 feet deep and they come to a dead stop. Word to people who dont know that area the lake is low if you dont know the area or the channel swing slow down and idol cause you might end up like the three boats that hit this point.
Dutch Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Are you talking about the area above Mash Hollow or some other place?
Wayne SW/MO Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Is that the old roadway, east of the present bridge? Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Josh Holt Posted February 9, 2013 Author Posted February 9, 2013 Its just up the flatt creek arm on the left hand side just above point 15
Josh Holt Posted February 9, 2013 Author Posted February 9, 2013 went yesterday and we had a limit before 10 oclock then the rain came
Dutch Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Wayne I think he is talking about the beginning of the big flat above Mash hollow where the channel takes a sharp hook. It is very shallow on the left all the way up to the old bridge, but that pt is an abrupt change where it jogs.
Wayne SW/MO Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 I see. I wondered if it was the old 173 road bed. I knew it extended out some, but I've never seen it in real low water and I didn't know how far. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Dutch Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 I don't think so. An old road bed comes out of a pocket about where the 173 sign is on the map. It runs down the side and along the bluff right above Mash Hollow.
Wayne SW/MO Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 There is one that is just to the right of the bridge. It looks like a little square ended projection with a blue road marking leading almost too it. It has, or had some pavement still on it. there's a shallow cove between it and the bridge fill. I don't know anything about it beyond normal pool. There was a two track that led down to it, but it was rough and the last time I was there it looked to rough to try, and I didn't. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
