npierceuark Posted February 14, 2013 Author Posted February 14, 2013 I usually use minnows but that day I was without them, I agree they usually bring more bites and better fish. And jdelow yes I was fishing from the bank. Jdoc send me a PM with your number if you decide to go. I am meeting with a guy about a boat motor earlier on Sunday so my duck killing / fish slaying machine may be here before I thought.
jdelow77 Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Pm me if its not to much trouble the general location , I'm a crappie guy as well but am having motor problems !!!
Feathers and Fins Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Hey Doc, rumor mill says they are in Jebs backyard in 8 to 15fow on the poles https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
J-Doc Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 If only I knew where Jebs backyard was lol!! Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
npierceuark Posted February 15, 2013 Author Posted February 15, 2013 jdelow, I've been catching the crappie from pretty much any spot you can walk to on the white arm south of 412 bridge. Twin Bridges, Blue Springs Rd, Beavorama, Habbertons. If you look on google earth you can find quite a few areas to walk in. Plug these coordinates in and it gives you a start at least, you can walk over a mile down the south shore and the fishing keeps getting better the further you go. 36° 8'32.59"N 94° 0'6.86"W. All the little access points around there get fished heavily so the further you are from where everyone parks the better.
Guest Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Did you see an old ranger bass boat idling around in your fishing hole on Sunday?
npierceuark Posted February 15, 2013 Author Posted February 15, 2013 yep I did, surprised you weren't in the background of my photo. Pick me up the next time you see me haha I'll probably be walking those parts this sunday as well. Have any luck up there?
jdelow77 Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Thanks for the info ... Sorry if that came off a little rude asking you where you were fishing ...
jdelow77 Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 We own a lake house on the Rambo arm of beaver ( family lake house I should say ) it's deep and right on a bluff line , I've planted tons and tons of brush piles but, only caught 3 crappie there in 7 years , it's deep there so if the fish aren't deep I don't catch anything ...
