I use Megastrike and J.J.'s Magic. I like the ease of Megasrike, and a little bit goes a long way. And J.J.'s Magic has a super strong scent and seems to take forever to wear off. Similar to what dwiebenga said, I like the idea of appealing to all of the fish's senses... plus, an angler of my skill level needs all the help he can get!

I use a lot of texas rigs at night. I personally dont think it attracts the bass much to the bait. I do believe it makes them hold on to it for a few seconds longer after they take it. Have seen nights where a friend was getting hit but could not hook up. After a fresh plastic and a little spray of scent, he was doing fine. One swam around with it for awhile as my partner was "confused" which is what we call it when one takes the bait and swims at you and u dont realize what is going on for a few seconds. I believe before he switched they were sucking it in and spitting it right back out, by the time he felt it and swung, it was out of their mouths.

Yum F2 in crawfish,

Bang in shad

I bang all my swimbaits and smoke tubes&grubs

F2 for jigs, shaky heads, etc.

I keep 2 separate tupperware conatiners to spray into.

just flip the bait in the tray then spray and cast.

after a few hours so dont need to spray, just slatther it on there.

It certainly ups the odds in favor of catfish and drum, both of which I catch regularly using this method for bass.
