Brian Wise Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Hey guys, I started a new tying series with fly tyer Thomas Harvey. Thomas has a totally unique feel and look to his flies and I seriously dig them. First up, the Wedding Veil. Justin Spencer Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Is that the first time you have ever introduced FIRE into your tying, that is TOUGH! Lancer09 Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Top notch as usual Brian. One question. On your third clump of laser dub, it looks like your tying it in in front of and behind the eyes, would this be correct?
Flysmallie Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Yeah well I don't like it. No on the road scenes. No time lapse sunrise/sunset. Never going to win an Oscar like that. Now send me a dozen of those flies.

On your third clump of laser dub, it looks like your tying it in in front of and behind the eyes, would this be correct? Ahh, that one clump.....that is a little tricky. It depends exactly on where you ended the body, how thick your previous clumps of Laser Dub were, etc. But in the video I actually "figure 8" the top and bottom clump of Laser Dub directly over the stem of the Dumbell eyes. I usually try to shoot for that as it fills that gap really well if you can do it. My Youtube Channel
