Wayne SW/MO Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 We lived in the park for a a year and it is a beautiful place when it is quiet and snow covered. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
NoLuck Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 I have fished a few times when it was almost that empty for a few hours. Middle of the week early May of all times. Pretty rare to say the least. Just think in about 4 days what it will look like.
dennis boatman Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 ...the river looks good...may go down this afternoon... A strike indicator is just a bobber...
laker67 Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 The best thing that could happen to bssp, is to have an opening day where no one shows up. Maybe JR and the rest of the bunch would take a long look at what they have been doing wrong since 04. Unfortunately it will never happen and they will continue to collect their 3 dollars while the rest of the business community suffers. And after saying all of this, I suppose I should wait and see if,just if, this new hatchery operation and expansion, could or would possibly make an improvement in things overall. I guess it would never be even close to the good ole days of the 70's 80's and even early 90's. More quality fish in the creek would be a major improvement.

No, make it more like about the mid 80's, maybe a little farther back. The "improvements" were initiated by Sam Welch with a lot of help from Jim Rogers. Needless to say Rogers has made a fortune off the "improvements" Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
