Members Wornica Posted March 1, 2013 Members Posted March 1, 2013 I was surprised this morning to see that there is now live video in black and white on the Bennett Springs Troutcam. It used to be just a color photo that refreshed every 60 seconds. It has a slow frame rate but was nice to watch as the siren blew this morning and the anglers started catching fish. There is a camera pointed above the dam and another one below it. Here is the link: http://mostateparks.com/page/58502/trout-cam
moguy1973 Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Not too many people out there. I would have thought it would be the usual shoulder to shoulder thing. Unless it was like that earlier. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
jah Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 I was also shocked by how few there were. Perhaps they photo shopped everyone out as a ruse to make us drive down there.
DaddyO Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 It's a color video, now. I wonder if any of those guys ever slipped and fell down that low water dam. DaddyO We all make decisions; but, in the end, our decisions make us.
ruthead Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Buddy sent me a text not too crowded. 800's tags sold. "Pretty soon we may not have any rights left because it might infringe on someone's rights"
Wayne SW/MO Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 That area in the video isn't what I would call a good area to film. I wish they would turn it about 90 degrees to the right. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
XP 590 Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Yeah, we were just watching our governor fishing off the new handicapped ramp! I didn't know he was handicapped-----until I saw his flycasting form
mic Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 That area in the video isn't what I would call a good area to film. I wish they would turn it about 90 degrees to the right. Keep checking it. They move it through out the day.
Wayne SW/MO Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Keep checking it. They move it through out the day. I didn't realize that. The dam is a great indicator of the crowd and the stream. Once you figure out what normal is the rest is obviously easy. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
