Yeah, I know. 27 miles one way.

Is a 27 mile one way commute a long way? I do 30, hop in a company and do another 100 on a normal day, come back and drive home.

I'm thinking Ness probably has a lot more company on the road JD. :D I lived in both areas, OP and Grandview, a long, long time ago. For reference you would fall off the world if you crossed 95th.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

95th Street? That's 'Old OP' now :D Did you shop at the 'French Market'?

Yep. Most of mine is rural, lots of deer, turkey, ducks, and farm animals.

Every year at this time of year I get my hopes up that it will be a great growing season. Last year was so dry even the weeds wouldn't grow. Hopefully this year will be better... There I go again...

What a bunch of wimps. I do 350 to 450 a day.

I haven’t grown much from seeds sown early. I just wait for the weather to warm up enough to start them outdoors. Will be doing the radishes, spinach, lettuce, and peas as soon as the snow quits falling. Last year I built raised beds along a fence that sloped downhill and they work out really well. I had more of everything then I knew what to do with. Even in the heat I was surprised how everything kept growing. I had about 12 bush bean plants and ended up with more beans then we could eat. A ton of hot, hot peppers too. Not sure if it was the hot weather or what but the peppers seemed hotter than normal.

Blazerman,

Building the raised beds was the best thing I ever did. A lot less work and a lot better results.

I really enjoy starting seeds indoors. For one, it starts in the doldrums of winter when I'm ready to see spring come along. I can choose my varieties and have them ready to go when the temps are right, and shave a little time off things. It's a little cheaper too. No fancy setup, just shop lights, shelves, trays, cells and a timer. It's something I really look forward to in the winter when hunting and football come to an end.
