gotmuddy Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 get back with me. in the next month I am buying either a new coosa or one of the nucanoe setups. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Members Dan Schaefer Posted March 28, 2013 Members Posted March 28, 2013 I would buy a kayak that is at least 12 feet in length. This way you will have the storage for longer trips and will be more efficient when you paddle. If you buy 10 ft. yak after a few years you probably wish you would have gotten something bigger. I love fishing out of my 14 ft. Jackson Cuda. The larger yaks can handle tight twisty rivers with good paddling technique.
Members Ozark Brad Posted April 14, 2013 Members Posted April 14, 2013 I picked up a Wilderness System Ride 115 about a month ago and have taken it out a few times now on Big River. I love this thing. I have stood up once or twice in it but I'll feel more comfortable once the water temps are higher to do it consistently in case I do take a fall. The seat is extremely comfortable, and I have more than enough storage for my needs. It is similar to the Coosa in terms of size. The Coosa does have the really cool hi/lo seat but the Ride 115 is a bit cheaper. My vote would be Ride 115 or the Coosa and you'll never look back.
