Also an assortment of big, gnarly streamers is you huck a 7 or 8wt.

The main thing is to make sure you are fishing DEEP. We have plenty of water in the river right now so 5-6' below an indicator is a good start.

Has the river been clear, or more off colored due to the rain and other crazy weather changes?

Clear water is something that plagues us on this river, most of the best trips here occur when we finally get some color in the water. Each of our decent rises has been accompanied by muddy water, but after 3 or 4 days it is back to our normal super clear state. This snow meltoff we are having now has me perplexed, 7-9" melting and the river continues to drop and seems even clearer than usual, I guess the ground isn't frozen so it is sinking into the ground. Looks beautiful for sure.

Looks like rain this next week. Hopefully it doesn't effect the river too much. Staying in a tent might get a little wet.

You can set up under our pavilion if rain is called for, one perk of coming in the off-season.

Sounds like a fair deal. I'm already wanting this next week to be over with! Haven't been fishing since before our baby was born, so Ive had the itch for awhile. Plus, it's always exciting to fish a new river!

The NFOW and the Eleven Point are the two cold water jewels of the Ozarks.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

Yeah, flipping over is usually pretty chilly. What were you hooking up with?
