Wayne SW/MO Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 I have a Salmon fly nymph that I came up with when I lived in OR that might be just the ticket. It's tied on a 3X #6. I caught a lot of fish on it in the Deschutes out there. It does have a pale orange belly that might do better in another color. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
On The Fly 6 Posted March 27, 2013 Author Posted March 27, 2013 I plan on having as many colors as I can in nymphs and jigs small enough to fish on my 5 wt. On The Fly 6 Posted April 1, 2013 Author Posted April 1, 2013 Well, got back home around 5pm today and I must say that my dad and I will most definitely be back to the river. The hospitality at Sunburst was fantastic and they were even willing to pick us up after we missed our take out spot ? The fishing was pretty good, I caught about 10 browns and 2 perch on Saturday....my dad caught two striped shiners....poor guy. All in all, it was a great weekend and we've already talked about bringing the rest of the family with us the next trip!
