I have a family reunion in Branson this year and will be spending 1 week on Table Rock. We are camping down at Indian Point. I was wondering if I can do some good fishing in that general area or will I need to put some miles on the merc to get to the good fishing ? It is the last week of June. I am sure it sounds crazy but I have only fished Table Rock twice. I want to get on some Big Table Rock Bass.

So Sorry to use the words Table Rock on the Stockton forum !

Personally, I'd be heading up Long and Cricket Creeks.

I love the Indian Creek arm. My favorite BUT... you biggest problem will be boaters. Thicker than fleas on a hound dogs leg. The jet skiers will follow you just to jump the waves. Assuming the water is normal and not muddy, head about 1/2 way toward the back of hte cove and begin by focusing on 25 to 35' with jigs or dropshot rigs with soft plastics. It can be good fishing there at that time. There are also a lot of big goggleye (yep goggleye) on the rock strewn pea gravel steep banks near the mouth of the cove. If there is anyother questions I can help you with let me know.

Late June is actually a good time for large fish, if your are willing to fish from can't see until sun on the water. Three baits: a quality topwater, a C rig, and a jig with trailer. For bass, I fish a Top Dollar and a simple jig head with grub or half a Senko. Plan on leaving the water before 1 PM. After 7 PM you can fish again. Have fun!

I'm like all the others..Mill creek area and a cross from it is good. Cow creek is good early. Early is the key!! Top water first and then find shaded banks with a jig..I agree with rps but i'd back it up to, before day light and out at 11 and then back at dark! From 1pm and on, will be like trying to roller skate at the Mall on Black Friday !!

Good Luck !!!!!
