It's tough to go 12 months with 5 or to all the sites in the state, but if I was forced to limit myself. More realistic might be 5 nymphs, 5 streamers, and 5 surface.

If you're from St. Louis, you gotta have a crackleback. If you're from west of Wentzville, you don't need one.

I mainly fish Taneycomo and Bennett Springs:

1. Renegade

2. Griffith Gnat

3. Scuds

4. Primrose and Pearl Midge

5. San Juan Worm

(Also trying to learn to tie all of these...)

Renegade, Wayne? An oldie but goodie that I never think to have on hand.

My theory is that it's a good substitute for mayflies or caddis because of the colors. I suspect that in Missouri it could be the only dry needed if the pattern colors were bent a little to create bi-visibles to match the naturals.
