Its pretty nice. My grandparents have a little pontoon boat on one of the lakes, but some genius decided to put a few grass carp in the lake and now all the cover has been decimated. I have only been able to catch little guys the past couple of years. I need to get those carp outta there!

Would advise aganist using a bow at Innsbruck. Not allowed. As far as the grass carp go, they are probably in every lake there. Been fishing ouit there for 12 yrs or so ever since my brother built his home out there. Tons of cats in the lakes. No fishing pressure whatsoever. 100 lakes, ponds.

Yes but it's all private isn't it? I would love to get my Kayak out there but I understand that it's a resident and family of resident place only. My good friend that I fish with, sister worked out there for a couple years or so, but we weren't able to get out there still.

Yeah, there are some big ol cats in there.

I don't know waht happened, but in my grandparents lake the fishing has really declined in the past 10 years. I figured it was due to two things

1. Innsbrook as a whole seems to be trying the make the whole area look nicer to golfers/retirees and removing a lot of the natural habitat/woods/cattails etc. around the lakes and leaving less cover for frogs/bugs/animals etc.

2. 10 years ago i don't remember seeing any carp out there. Now if you drive by any of the lakes in the summer you see the silhouette of several carp from the banks.

Our lake used to have a lot of cattails and mass and lily pad cover that is no longer there.

I may be wrong, but I think this has been detrimental to their lake.

On a side note... I caught this one outta Forest Park today on my lunch break! Not bad for right in the middle of the city!

Nice fish congrats. On Insbruck, it is all private. Apparently the lot owners don't like any grass tickling their toes when they step in the water. I believe MO con dept recommends 1 grass carp per acre. The big lake on this side is about 120 acres or so. I'm sure there are thousands of grass carp in there. Seen 'em. Gotta be careful where you fish, some of the residents feed THEIR catfish and don't like people fishing for them. At times have caught very nice bluegill and redear.

Wow, nice bass. I won't be going to Innsbrook anytime soon. LoL I like to keep legal fish for food. I eat the fillets and use the rest for compost for my gardens. It all goes somewhere instead of a landfill.
