Members Plan B Posted April 3, 2013 Author Members Posted April 3, 2013 jpb What part of STL are you in? I do most of my fishing at Busch Wildlife. Trying to do as much Kayak fishing as I can this year as well. Eat what you catch, or starve like the rest! Members carptracker Posted April 3, 2013 Members Posted April 3, 2013 Welcome just joined myself a few days ago. Originally from north St. Louis county and now have a place on the Meramec near the Huzzah & Courtois. Use a Jackson Tuna and sportsman canoe, hope to learn much about this area. If you are planning a trip in the area give us a shout.
jpb2187 Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 I'm in Crestwood. I don't have a boat, so I'm limited to the shore. I work in Clayton, so I usually head to Tilles or Forest Park on my lunch break just to get some casts in.
Members Plan B Posted April 3, 2013 Author Members Posted April 3, 2013 No boat needed at Busch Wildlife. 30+ lakes to fish on. I do mostly shoreline as well. Not to many places to put the Kayak in except Creve Coeur park. Never fished Forest Park or Tilles. What do you catch there? Almost anything you could want at Busch though. Crappie, Large Mouth, Trout, Catfish, Channel and flathead, and at least one lake with Muskie. Eat what you catch, or starve like the rest! jpb2187 Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 I pretty much just fish for Bass... nothing really of decent size in there though, just provides a nice break from the office. I have family that has a place out at Innsbrook, so I usually drive the extra 20 min and head there instead of Busch. It's just not as pressured.
