Members ShawnyP Posted April 10, 2013 Members Posted April 10, 2013 I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas where to find some good pea gravel areas to bass fish, I would like to maybe get around some good spawning areas for a pre-spawn bite. We will be fishing around the Gravois Arm but not opposed to traveling some. I was planning on going in about a week or 2 depending on water temps. I got some good info from FishinWrench about this trip a month or so ago now I'm just trying to find a good place to start.
Jerry Rapp Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 most any pea gravel bank in the Glaize will have brush piles in 15 feet of water. You can find them easily if you take some time to do it. And anywhere around the Coffman ramp with pea gravel will be the same thing. But in two weeks I would guess most of the bass will be in happy mode, shallower. But you never know. Don't limit yourself to one thing.
Members ShawnyP Posted April 11, 2013 Author Members Posted April 11, 2013 Thanks for the input Jerry, I am getting amped up and cant wait to hit LOZ! I am not as familiar with the Lake as others but I have gotten off to a good start with a 8lb. largemouth a few weeks ago on another lake. That one might be hard to top.lol! Any tips or pointers about LOZ will be greatly appreciated!
