Fished the icy waters of the south side today. Temps are 2-4 degrees cooler there. Still found a bunch of fish "shallow ", 10-15'. Ned rig and finesse rig. Drag bite was fully on. Some nice solid 17" brownies that way. These fish were spitting small shad in the 2-3"range.

Moved to some secondary points in north side creeks. Caught many many kentuckies on 1/4oz shakey heads and PBJ zinkerz or zeros. Those fish were 15' out to 25'.

There are fish cruising & on beds. Have not intentionally messed with them.

Came in about noon to check weather, went back out and never caught another fish. Who knows.

5 that would measure, no killers but solid. Probably in the 35-40 count total. Also a channel cat about 6 or 7 pounds. On the Ned rig.

Suggest you pick an area you enjoy, a technique you enjoy, and stick some. Lots of ways to catch them now. Will be interesting to see what storms bring tomorrow.

Sorry no pics. Have the kindle in the room w/o upload.

Am prepared for an all day sucker, err ...soaker.

If lots of lightning but no bad stuff might run to Bull to see what is going on with the elite tmt.

I do windows, lawns, but not lightning.

Pushing 60 if you are in north creeks / coves, with a few deeper ones cooler. South side places 56-58.

Radar shows weather down into AR and OK so might be a while. Rain may be what saves us on temps, hes been warm. Cold nights to come will be the trouble.
