is it possible on low water to put a boat in at ranchette and motor down to buffalo shoals without much trouble. I like to wade fish the shoal but coming from fayetteville it would be quicker to put in at ranchette as opposed to driving to buffalo city. I dont actually want to take my boat into the shoal, thats a good way to beat the crap out of it. I just want to park it above the shoal, hop out and wade the shoals. I just didnt know if there were any real shallow places between ranchette and the top end of buffalo shoals that need to be avoided. My boat is still new so i dont want to beat it up too much. Thanks

Yes you can get to wade able water pretty easily but if want to fish the better water you’re going to have to kiss a rock or ten. There are a couple of ledge rock/boulder gardens about a mile above the main shoal, in dead low water these are harder to navigate than the shoal it’s self. But hey, what’s a few scratches.
