Fishing Friday and Saturday around mid lake. Spending the night so I thought we may set some hooks. Probably limb lines or noodles. Any suggestions on bait and depth? Or is it still to early?

I'm new to Stockton but am going to set some sample lines on the little sac arm this weekend myself. The cover and conditions there tell me there has to be cats. I would assume the channels will be catchable though maybe not an aggressivve bite. They don't shutdown like their flathead cousins do in cold water. Depending on how much rain comes Friday id set lines on the bank in the brush and adjacent to deep water and a moderately steep bank. Depending on the size of fish your looking for try crawlers, cut bait,or hot dogs. I'm going to be trying it all to learn these fish. Good luck to you and keep me posted on your success

I am not much of a cat fisherman but last weekend I caught two channel cate trolling flckr shads for walleye. They seemed to just hammer that bait. I had to replace the treble hook after the nicer one smashed it.

Any tips on the little sac? I'm new here and have just started fishing for whittes and crappie on it but I know there's got to be plenty of cats in there.I have been putting in at Aldrich.

In the aldrich area I catch a lot of channels on liver & stinkbait. the bite always seems better at night & river channel.
