rps Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 I went out around 9 and fished until 3. I was intent on trying jika rigs I had made. I used both Roboworm ringgrubs and Gambler crawdad creatures. I found 12 to 16 inch bass on chunk rock banks near deeper ( 25 to 35 feet) water. 9 Largemouth, and 1 Spot. 2 keepers. No joy on flat gravel points. Water temp 55 to 58 degrees. Despite the rain the water is clear but not crystal.
Quillback Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Thanks for the info, I'm going out tomorrow AM and was concerned the latest rain might have murked up the water, but looks like that did not happen.
dtrs5kprs Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 RPS...you need to come down to 13 and thin out some eyes. Getting tired of tap -set -slice.
dtrs5kprs Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 ...and stick with the jika. It will work. Try a beaver or similar and don't be afraid to go big with it and put it down into wood. Just sayin '.
