HI,

We are headed down to Table Rock for the weekend, and plan on fishing as much as possible on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Looking at the weather and wondering how the fish are going to react to the cold front. Any suggestion are appreciated. We spend most of our time in the mid lake area (Aunts, Mill, Fisher, Schooner, Cow, Indian.)

I don't think this will change things much. Fish won't move... they'll be back to the same patterns quicker than everyone thinks.

I thought may be the crappie would shut down yesterday because of the change in weather but they didn't.

I am going to start out and work in. Find something close to the bedroom, park the boat over a little water, and swim a grub or shake a head. As the day gets on I am going to work my way in. I'll check some pockets for visible stuff to, but really have more faith on catching some pre/post fish just a bit back from the bedroom.

I am even going to run a bank or two with a blade and a crank because I like to just to see if I can stir some up.

Tomorrow I'll fish Baxter, Kimberling, Joe Bald, maybe Aunts. If I don't get any love then Indian Point here I come Sunday AM!

Saturday will be easier than Sunday. On Sunday, downsize and slow down.

From my experiences with the two big fronts that came through before this one, I think you might be backwards. The shallower fish were much more stable than the suspended "outside" fish. More likely to stay home, be close to bottom, or cover, more easily caught. Those suspenders were pretty fickle at times. Just a thought.

We just got in from braving it out this morning. From 8 till 1 we caught 18 with 5 keepers. I used Bills advise and sat in 30' and casted in and counted down or just let it fall in 10'. I was using a 3/8 oz. ball jig with a smoke grub. We lost several coming to the boat and had a lot of them just hit it and not get hooked. After 3 hours of deep fishing we caught several within 2 to 4 ft. of the bank on chartreuse spinnerbaits. In our area of the kings they are still where they were before the front. Not much has changed around here.
