hit the water at 6 am. caught some spots and small jaws on tube and grub. 3 nice smalljaws on the points 2 1/2 to around 3 pounds on the grub (smoke red fleck) and small spots. went in the coves found tons of beds but only small bucks on them. but i noticed quite a few larger bass in the areas just moving around. messed around ate lunch and around 11:30 went back in the coves and started see nest with pairs on them. bed fished till 3:00 caught 4 plus 4 lm and 2 plus six. caught them on watermelon red french fry no weight 10 lb power pro with 3 ft of 8 fluro. lots of fun but tough to see the take. left alot that didn't bite. one other thing around midday noticed a lot of alge bloom started by the time i left water had a green tint and anything that hit that crap had a wad of slime. was wondering if anyone else noticed.

I picked up plenty of slime in the last few days that was either on the surface or suspended. It must have broken loose in the current. I guess there is still plenty of "nutrient" entering the lake.

When it starts to break loose, that usually means it is going away for the season. It is late this year and it was not nearly so bad today on the bottom in the dam area. In a couple of weeks it will have broken loose and floated to the top and dissolved. Always has since I can remember and probably now always will. Sometimes in February you can see it trailing off the dock ends. it will be gone soon.
