Had a small window to fish Stockton with a buddy this morning. We put in at 8:30 at Mutton Creek launch and fished pea gravel flats drifting minnows in 18 feet of water. Took us till 11:30 to catch our limits of keeper walleye. Caught another 8-10 shorts, two small mouth,9 keeper crappie, a spot, a white bass, and one drum also in the three hours. Water temp was 58 degrees. Great morning of fishing.

Most fish were caught right along this bank

Dang DD, that's MY best spot! Lol! Well, not really but I can see my favorite spots in your lake map pic. Glad you had a good day, will be a couple of weeks before I can get down. Hope the bite continues to be good, struggling to catch is hard on my ego!

Man o man, that's some encouraging news right there! I'm on vacation the whole week and it's my 3rd try to spend some serious time on Stockton this year... Blizzards, freezing temps, etc have made this spring double tough when you have to plan your trips months in advance. Looks like perfect weather all week and I'm thinking and hoping dang near every fish in the lake will be on or near the bank looking to get r dun. I had planned this week to try to find some cats but with the water temps just now staying at 60, I think the bass and maybe even some crappie will be still trying to spawn. And all the great walleye reports! Wow, I love that lake! I'll let you know how it goes.

Is this fun or what!
