powerdive Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 9LB, I agree with you. They should close the season on walleyes from 2/15 to 4/14.
eyeman Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 maybe two fish of your limit should be over 18 inches .bull shoals has nice big wally's but it was bad fishin so i went to stockton . they all get harvested out as soon as they reach 15" on stockton. oh, and i had crappie walleye and yes a blackbass for supper tonight.
DADAKOTA Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 I am quite confident that the MDC knows what it is doing with the crappie and walleye length limits. You might check with the MDC fisheries person in charge of Stockton and review the data he has on the lakes fish population. I don't keep bass so I don't know what the length limit on Kentucky's is on Stockton. It should be 12 or 13 inches if it isn't. The biggest problem with Stockton is the lowering of the lake during the crappie spawn. Makes for poor year classes.
Walcrabass Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Everyone, Just another note to go along with all these crazy comments to a very serious suggestion. Legal KENTUCKIES are extremely delicious!!!!!! maybe even more than Walleye and Crappie combined!!!!!! However, Largemouth and Smallmouth are terrible and I would not THINK ABOUT EATING THEM!!!!!!! So, now I have joined the club with my FUNNY comments and maybe furthered my point as well. Walcrabass
powerdive Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Lighten up, Wal. You might think about putting your issue in its own thread so the "true fisherpeople" can find and discuss it properly. Otherwise, it's open season in the funny club!
