Crappie Slow But There

Put in at Hermitage today, took nearly 6 hrs. but managed a limit. 21-24 ft. water, brush about 15 ft. Minnows caught most, some on a horse head green punkin seed cart. tail. only 3-4 shorts all day, 10" plus females spawned out no biggins. Sometimes just heavy, sometimes tried to take the rod.... slow, but, cookin tomorrow on the creek. Just vertical fishing. Usually could seem them active right on top of the brush. Tight Lines.

Went this morning put in at bolivar landing, fished up around point 6 from 7 to 12 noon .only got 5 crappie all between 11 and 12 inches out in the main channel.also caught a few nice bass and lost at least a 3 lb bass at the boat .he bent my hook straight and came off . All fish were caught on a bobby g baby shad color dream sycical tipped with a minnow .i hope the bite picks up before I go back to work on Monday
