Guest Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 I painted a KVD 1.5 for my Dad last summer. Since that time, he's boated nearly 500 bass on a single lure. He actually broke it off last month. It was in 4ft of water at Lake Windsor, so he decided to go back and find it. Sure enough, he found it under a small rock on the lake bed. Dad mentioned to me that he wanted it put in a case and retired. So, I borrowed it back claiming that I needed to duplicate the paint job. I was secretly plotting a way to fill his request as a fathers day gift. Its all wrapped and ready for Sunday.
Guest Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 If you look closely, the bill is rounded from grinding rocks. Its got a rolling action like a swim bait versus a wobble of a square bill. I think that subtle action added to its fish catching ability.
Mitch f Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 That's a great gift ! I need that color on a topwater lure! "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
