Members WOZ Posted June 20, 2013 Author Members Posted June 20, 2013 Heading back to Trillium Lake this weekend where that pic was taken. They stocked 250 trophies this week so the toon and tube folks will have lots of oppertunities to pick some of them up. Planning on one last hurah on the Deschutes before I head east as well. And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth. Then he made the earth round...... And he laughed and laughed and laughed....

Members WOZ Posted June 20, 2013 Author Members Posted June 20, 2013 Sweet Nighthawk! Decided to keep mine so just need more practice. I wasn't expecting spey folks back there. Thought it was mainly a PNW thing. Good to see it's in other areas! And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth. Then he made the earth round...... And he laughed and laughed and laughed....
flyman Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Welcome Waz! Like others noted, that rod will come in handy for White River or Taneycomo browns. There are also a few around here that fly fish for giant stripers. I have not done that yet myself but boy that would be fun!!
Members WOZ Posted June 20, 2013 Author Members Posted June 20, 2013 Once I get settled, lets try to get a trip planned if you don't mind a newbie tagging along... Feathers and Fins Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 If you are not opposed to Big Stripers Flyman hit it on the head. Late Sept to Nov Beavers Big Stripers are fun as it gets on a fly rod. Picture tieing in to a 15lb average size fish to 40 pound striper on a fly rod. Powersite has them also and then there is the toothy Musky as well. We live in great area for all types of fishing. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Members WOZ Posted June 20, 2013 Author Members Posted June 20, 2013 No issues with stripers at all but PLEASE - no CARP! And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth. Then he made the earth round...... And he laughed and laughed and laughed....
