I know I haven't post much in a while but I hear all the reporting comeing from the main lake but fishing has been awesome around capefair. I have been three days in a row now catching a good number of fish. I know that their are alot of schooled up kentuckies and largemouth mixed on crank baits and drop shots but i have been hamering some big fish as well. All i can say is that the big worm bite is in full swing in the james arm. the last three day I have put several nice fish in the 5lb plus range in the boat and this afternoon i lost three in that class range but maneged to put five keepers in the boat one being a 4+. I have been averageing with my best five everyday in the 16 to 18lb range for my five best. They have all came on the zoom ole monster. Their is tons of kentuckies on bluffs around capefair once you find the throw swim baits let them fall to their depth or deep diving cranks have worked for me but when you find them their hungry catching 30 to 40 of them in an hour not all keepers but they sure are fun no matter the size when it fast and furious

You need to be fishing some tournaments. 18lbs in late June is pretty tough to beat on Tablerock or any lake right now. If you are catching 18lbs per trip you have them really dialed in. Put some cash in your pocket, I'd be looking for a tournament!

Josh is one of our good local fishermen. He was injured really bad on the job and although he can and does fish the lake with great success, I believe the rigors and the boat hammering of tournament fishing would put him in a pretty bad way.

I'm not speaking for him, but your health is whats important. Just good to see him out and fishing, not punishing himself. He can go to the house any time it gets to rough or hot.

Always appreciate his reports.

Thanks for the report Josh. I've been getting some on the OL Monster early, but haven't fished it later in the day. Sounds like I'll have to keep tossing it.

Thank you for the excellent report, Josh. I'm not sure what kind of injury you sustained but I'm glad it didn't keep you from what you love.

Like Quill said, his reports has included a good Ol' Monster bite too. I bought some based on his recommendation. Have not used them yet but I plan to this week.
