I have switched over to Lew's baitcaters but I would like to have my old Ambassadeurs put back in top shape.

Does anyone know of a reel repair shop in the Branson area that I can use to give these reels some expert attention?

And by the way.....if you are in the market for a new reel(s) don't make a decision until you have a chance to test a Lew's.

I got my heads up on Lew's from this forum and darn glad I did! :D

thanks

Why I didn't know those ever broke down, only got better with age. Still occasionally use my old 5500C (for A-rig & big stripers) and my 4500C (spinnerbait & some topwater).

If you're into doing it yourself the Ambassadeur web site has the diagrams for all reels complete with parts lists. I still use a 5000 and 5000D almost daily...or everytime I go fishing they're still great for heaving worming and A rigs. The two of them have racked up about 80 years of cranking with no problems. I clean them, lube them up and keep on cranking.
