inshore Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 put in at 5:00 this am. fished to 11:30 am. had a nice top water bite on popper. around 12 fish and 3 nice lm keepers. fish were on points on flats stuck back in buck brush chasing minnows. finished up with drop shot and spoon. caught another dozen with 3 more keeps. docks and points one or two at a time. plum 4 inch drop and 1/2 war eagle. thermocline between 35 and 40 feet.water was stained between 86 and 87 degrees. maybe 11to 12 pounds best 5. watch the crazies 4th of july. may check out Stockton.
fishingaddiction Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Sounds like the bite up the James is going good. This is the only report I have read that mentions the depth of the thermocline. I will watch out for the crazies on the 4th, but hopefully they will not be out as early as I will. Born to Fish. Forced to Work.
